Pontchartrain Center in Kenner The "Rising Stars" Golden Tassel Gala is Jefferson Dollars for Scholars' signature fundraising event and was named Best of Jeff Charity Event by readers Jefferson Life Magazine . Held each spring, the Gala attracts the area's top business, culinary, and community leaders to an evening of dining and dancing. The 2010 Golden Tassel Gala will be held on 9-24-10 at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner. If you would like to donate to the auction or to the refreshments for the 2010 event, please fill out the appropriate online donation form below. Expect the unexpected at the Golden Tassel Gala! Each year we add something new and entertaining! This past year, we had THREE extraordinary highlights on top of our already over-the-top lineup of restaurants and auction items: - We were rockin' in your seat and laughing 'til our sides hurt with the always entertaining VINCE VANCE AND THE VALIANTS!
- At each table, we had original pieces of artwork created by student artists from the Jefferson Parish Public School System. Click on the 'Photos' tab to view these one-of-a-kind creations!
- Finally, we were fortunate enough to have artwork panels donated to by artists of local, national, and international renown. Words simply can't do these pieces justice, so click here to have a look. Information about each panel, along with artist details can be found there as well.
